Cross-country skiing in Val di Fassa
The valley of Fassa, known mainly for its downhill skiing slopes, is also known for being a great vacation background for those who like cross country skiing. It offers a wide choice of routes and ski rings for a total of 51 km of pistes, 70 km along the route of the Marcialonga. At the high altitude there is the Alochet Center at Passo San Pellegrino, to ski up to the season, while the ring at Pozza di Fassa with night lighting.
Each year the valley of Fassa renews the appointment at Marcialonga, an important cross-country skiing race held on the last Sunday of January. Alongside the most famous champions, the overwhelmingly over 6,000 athletes who challenge between the valley of Fassa and the valley of Fiemme are protagonists.
