- Fassa valley
- + Info
Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment and technology, Val di Fassa is almost entirely linked to skiing by the foot, thanks to the new plant that Alba di Canazei leads directly to the Belvedere Ski Area and then to the SellaRonda.
Alba di Canazei, head of the Ciampac Ski Area, is also connected to the Buffaure Ski Area.
That's why starting skiing directly from the Buffaure Ski Area means getting into the circuit of SellaRonda, indeed in a real FassaRonda circuit, given the beauty and varieties of the ski slopes in Val di Fassa. And to leave you with no commitments and parking problems, you can take advantage of our free connection service that in the morning takes you directly to Pozza di Fassa at the departure of the cable car taking you to the Buffaure Ski Area and likewise comes to take you in the afternoon returning, maybe after you have passed the new and spectacular Vulcan track that brings you directly to the starting base.
In addition to the technical features, the new Funifor cable car from Alba di Canazei has other architectural and engineering features that make it as extraordinary and unique as it is.
Between these jump to the eye the contained and low dimensions of the upstream station, made possible thanks to the reduced suspension of the cars. The eight-meter protrusion of the upstream steel structure, as well as the elegant arched shape of the downstream staircase, fit harmoniously into the landscape. The valley station of Alba di Canazei is at 1.450 meters, the upstream station on the Col dei Rossi at 2.380 m.s.l.m. The track rests on two line supports, respectively 27 and 48 meters high. The journey is made even more comfortable by a last-generation cart, specially developed by Doppelmayr Italia. The two cabins have a capacity of 100 passengers each, move on a pair of ropes and are independent of each other. Cars travel at a speed of 12 meters per second (about 45 km / h); the maximum hourly rate is 1,100 people per route.
